Spanish fashion is at the forefront of children’s fashion. It is full of elegant and sophisticated clothing for all ages, and no attention to detail is spared. Even babies can have style and panache with some unique items of clothing that are not as common or as stylish those found in the British children’s clothing market.
We would like to introduce our clients in the UK to some of these baby clothes that set Vagaluz and its clients apart in terms of high fashion and originality.
In Spain it is very popular for babies to wear bloomers. They are a very fashionable way to add style to a baby’s attire. They are practical because they hide the nappy and allow babies to crawl around freely with style. Babies who are too young to crawl often wriggle about in their loved ones’ arms, exposing their nappies. Bloomers provide elegance and modesty. Baby girls can wear them under dresses or skirts, or even on their own in fine weather or with tights or long socks when it is colder. Baby boys could also wear them with bare legs when the weather is good, and with long socks on colder days.
These star print bloomers by José Varón would make a lovely addition to a baby’s wardrobe. The girls’ bloomers have ruffles around the waist and the openings for the legs, along with ruching. The boys’ bloomers are less ornate and have handy little pockets on each side. The rich burgundy colour is very warm and flatters all skin tones.
These pretty pale blue and pink bloomers by Nanos are made of linen and have a simple but very elegant design. The white bow around them adds a really sophisticated touch.
As we have mentioned, these would look adorable under a dress, skirt or with tights or leggings, but they would also look lovely paired with a cardigan like this elegant one by Rochy.
Instead of having your baby just wear plain shorts, why not consider another Spanish look by dressing your child in bloomer-style shorts that have straps attached? These outfits give a very smart, traditional look. Once again, Spanish fashion’s timeless elegance is evident.
This baby girl’s yellow and blue check short set and blouse by Rochy epitomises elegance. The mustard yellow cardigan, also by Rochy, compliments the outfit perfectly.
Baby boys can also take advantage of this look. For colder days, you could pair it with some navy, white or mustard coloured socks. To give some extra warmth and sophistication, why not team it with this gorgeous navy cardigan, also by Rochy?
With Christmas just around the corner, this tartan short set by Rochy is just the trick. The shirt’s Peter Pan collar is very flattering and the tartan elbow patches add panache and tie the outfit together nicely. A stylish look for a stylish baby!
With British high streets full of Spanish clothes shops and even young royals frequently seen sporting clothes by Spanish designers, it is clear that Spanish designs have had a major influence on the world of fashion. By incorporating bloomers and bloomer shorts sets more into our babies’ wardrobes, not only will our babies look incredibly smart and elegant, they will also be leaders in the field of fashion!
